Marchwind's
Rescues
Do you know of a Marchwind dog that's in need of rescue? Here's how our rescue process works...
Rescue our own dogs
Marchwind rescues it's own dogs. Please let me know if there is a Marchwind bred dog in a rescue situation in your area. Call or text my cell at
(229) 699-0290.
Rescues are SOMETIMES FREE AND SOMETIMES THERE MAY BE A CHARGE DEPENDING ON AGE, ETC
Some of the older girls are free or available for the cost of spay, and some of the young ones may cost money.
I prefer the new owners come pick them up but I will help arrange transport
DOGS RETIRING FROM BREEDING AND LOOKING FOR PET HOMES
ADULT ITALIAN GREYHOUNDS LOOKING FOR LOVING PET HOMES
ADULT DOGS BEING REHOMED REQUIRE SPECIAL CARE
- THEY ARE ESCAPE RISKS FOR MONTHS AND SHOULD NOT BE LET OFF LEAD. A GPS TRACKER IS RECOMMENDED
- TEETH NEED TO BE BRUSHED AND CARED FOR DAILY, SEE MY RECOMMENDATIONS ON IG CARE TIPS
- OLDER ITALIAN GREYHOUNDS TEND TO GET FAT, AND THIS IS NOT HEALTHY. PLEASE DO NOT LET MY DOGS GET FAT!
- NONE OF THESE DOGS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED HOUSEBROKEN TO YOUR HOUSE. THEY ARE CLEAN IN THEIR KENNEL SPACE BUT WILL NEED TO BE PROPERLY TRAINED IN YOUR HOME, EVEN IF THEY ARE CLEAN IN MY HOUSE WITH MY SET UP.

Freckles is a sweetheart. She is one of my favorite field dogs--walks with me in my farm fields with a small pack of loose igs. Freckles comes reliably and stays close to me. She is leash trained and show trained.
She has visited the house but I wouldn't call her housebroken.
CHAMPION MARCHWIND BARRON
ADULT MALE BORN AUG 06, 2022
Barron is one of my favorite males! Unfortunately he has not been able to sire puppies after his first litter and is being offered for sale as a pet or junior show prospect.
He was a fun show dog and is well leash trained. He is completely trustworthy and obedient and rarely needs a leash when walking with me in fields and dirt roads in the country.
Barron is in excellent health and has not yet been neutered although that can easily be arranged if desired.
He gets along well with other males and does well in a group. Like most young adults he benefits from exercise so apartment life is not what I have in mind for him. He is a country boy! MAKE ME AN OFFER for this beautiful young dog who is already an AKC CHAMPION, has outgoing temperament, and great health.
