Rescue our own dogs

Marchwind rescues it's own dogs. Please let me know if there is a Marchwind bred dog in a rescue situation in your area. Call or text my cell at (229) 699-0290.

Rescues are SOMETIMES FREE AND SOMETIMES THERE MAY BE A CHARGE DEPENDING ON AGE, ETC

 Some of the older girls are free or available for the cost of spay, and some of the young ones may cost money.

 I prefer the new owners come pick them up but I will help arrange transport

returned by owners

They must be returned at the new owner's expense if they decide they do not want the dog.

  1. THEY ARE ESCAPE RISKS FOR MONTHS AND SHOULD NOT BE LET OFF LEAD.  A GPS TRACKER IS     RECOMMENDED
  2. TEETH NEED TO BE BRUSHED AND CARED FOR DAILY, SEE MY RECOMMENDATIONS ON IG CARE TIPS
  3. OLDER ITALIAN GREYHOUNDS TEND TO GET FAT, AND THIS IS NOT HEALTHY.  PLEASE DO NOT LET MY DOGS GET FAT!
  4. NONE OF THESE DOGS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED HOUSEBROKEN TO YOUR HOUSE.   THEY ARE CLEAN IN THEIR KENNEL SPACE BUT WILL NEED TO BE PROPERLY TRAINED IN YOUR HOME, EVEN IF THEY ARE CLEAN IN MY HOUSE WITH MY SET UP.

      Natalie was born 20 sep 2024 out of Champion Marchwind Winks and Champion Wynson Marchwind Mercury.  She has always lived at Marchwind and loves being one of the front yard pack who get to greet all the visitors!

  At this stage I keep only the dogs I am totally satisfied with so Natalie is now available.  She is very sound but I dont love her topline.

 She loves attention and will make a lovely pet once she adjusts to her new life.  She is not for someone who has never had an ig and would make a good companion for another dog.

She is a good eater and in perfect health.  She has had all her vaccinations, and is microchipped.

IRIS is a big sturdy girl who was bred by the late Fran Marron and is out of Grand Champion Marlord's Legacy of Liberty and Marlord's Copper Genius. 

Iris has enamel hypoplasia which means she has brown teeth but they are sturdy and functional.  I brush them once a week like I would care for any adult ig's teeth.  They are NOT more fragile or prone to fall out.

Iris is somewhat timid although loves her owner and would do fine in a quiet pet home.  She would make a good companion for another dog.  She is in excellent health, has had all her vaccinations and is microchipped.
